Summary
A potential denial of service attack on the SoftLINK Client or the SoftLINK Student has been identified in lab conditions. This could potentially be used to prevent a SoftLINK connection.

The Denial of Service attack does not comprising the security of the machine or allowing unauthorized access to the machine.

Only affects internal clients rather than someone from outside being able to attack clients on an internal network (assuming appropriate security such as a firewall is in place).

Solution
SoftLINK now has been updated to include fixes that will prevent the discovered denial of service attack from being used to disrupt a connection to the Client or Student. These fixes are included in the following version.
